a) Identification of Hydrogen gas:-

• Take different types of metals like Copper , Iron , Magnesium and any acid.
• Now, add the acid to each of the metals in different test tubes.
• Light a match stick and introduce it into the test tubes.
• We observe that the flame of match stick puts off with a sound.
• Hence, the gas which is released is Hydrogen , because when we put a burnt match stick , the flame puts of with a pop sound.

b) Identification of Carbon dioxide (CO2)

• It is observed when it is passed through Lime water , because it turns milky white.
• We can see this in the reaction of Vinegar and Baking Soda.
