PV= nRT is the ideal gas equation. Gases which doesn't hold the formula good are said to be real gases. Ideal gas equation was derived based on laws such as Charles, Boyle, Gay lussac law. Hence, Real gases are the gases that don't follow gas laws.
As Real gases deviate from ideal behavior, The formula needs correction to hold good. The corrected formula is Vanderwaal equation for real gases.
Vanderwaal equation is
(P + an²/v²) ( V/n - b) = nRT
For one mole of real gas, n = 1
The equation reduces to
( P + a/v²) ( V - b) = RT.
