it is double displacement reaction because two atoms switch two places by exchanging ions to form New compounds . precipitate is formed so it is precipitation reaction also.

Hope my answer helps you

It is a double replacement equation and you need to understand that NaCl and AgNO3 are highly soluble in water and they are both solids and in this type of reaction ions switch places and will give the reaction NaNO3 and AgCl and AgCL is highly insoluble in water and it will come out as white solid from the solution so the balanced equation will be:

AgNO3 (aq)+NaCL (aq)  = AgCL +NaNO3
