Step-by-step explanation:

x+2y=-1 ..... Rearranging

x+2y+1=0 ......(1)

2x-3y=12 ..... Rearranging

2x-3y-12=0 .....(2)

a1=1 b1=2 c1=1

a2=2 b2=-3 c2=-12

D=a1 b1 = 1 2 = 1×-3 -2×2 = -3-4 = -7

a2 b2 2 -3

Dx=c1 b1 = 1 2 =1×-3 -2×-12=-3-(-24)=

c2 b2 -12 -3

= -3+24=21

Dy=a1 c1 = 1 1 = 1×-12 -2×1 = -12-2 = -14

a2 c2 2 -12

By Cramer's Rule,

x= Dx = 21 = -3

D -7

y= Dy = -14 = 2

D -7

x=-3 & y=2
