Given:

(i)2x=5 (ii)y-2=0(iii)y/7=3(iv)x=-14/13

To Find:

To write the given equations in the form of ax + by + c = 0 and to find the values of a, b.

Solution:

Take the first equation 2x=5 and write it in the form of ax + by + c = 0.

2x+0y-5=0

Here a is 2, b is 0, and c is -5.

Take the second equation y-2=0 and write it in the form of ax + by + c = 0.

0x+y-2=0

Here a is 0, b is 1, and c is -2.

Take the third equation y/7=3 and write it in the form of ax + by + c = 0.

y=21\\0x+y-21=0

Here a is 0, b is 1, and c is -21.

Take the fourth equation x=-14/13 and write it in the form of ax + by + c = 0.

x+0y+\frac{14}{13} =0

Here a is 1, b is 0, and c is \frac{14}{13}.

Thus, in ax + by + c = 0 form, the converted equations are 2x+0y-5=0, 0x+y-2=0, 0x+y-21=0, and x+0y+\frac{14}{13} =0. Also, the value of a, b, and c in the equation (i), (ii), (iii), and (iv) are a is 2, b is 0, and c is -5, a is 0, b is 1, and c is -2,  a is 0, b is 1, and c is -21, a is 1, b is 0, and c is \frac{14}{13} respectively.
