Answer:

All love is life, it is the only law of life; all selfishness is death, and this is true here or hereafter. It is life to do good, it is death not to do good to others.[Source]

All narrowness, all contraction, all selfishness is simply slow suicide, and when a nation commits the fatal mistake of contracting itself and of thus cutting off all expansion and life, it must die.

Answer:

Every individual has the power to love selflessly. Love is something, which when you give, you end up having more. Love comes from within. When you love someone , be it your family, pets, friends, you are ready to sacrifice anything and everything for them. Love can't be measured in quantity. Being able to love is the purest form of feeling, cause you have no expectation in return.

You get hurt seeing your loved ones hurt. The more you are able to love, the more you become selfless and radiate positive energy. Love can wipe out hatred, and can fill someone's mind with positive energy.

Selfishness is just the opposite of love. It narrows your thinking ability, fills your mind with hatred, ego, jealousy. You don't share things, your mind is just confined in a narrow space where every thinking starts with how you will feel. Giving self priority is important, but not at the cost of lowering someone's moral or hating someone. That just gives you negativity, possessiveness and unstable state of mind which slowly leads to death.
