-The plantation of trees near flood plains and on the banks of river binds the soil and then even flowing water does not carry it along the flow.

-In the mountaineous region one can perform strip cropping which means

that they can grow crops in alternate rows while leaving a strip in between for the growth of tall grasses, these grasses reduce the flow of air and thus reduces soil degradation.

-In the Deccan region where the soil is mainly black soil, is a region where when there is no rain or scarce rainfalls, land develops deep cracks so to ensure the soil is hydrated, one should plough the field immediately so a the water will penetrate deep inside the soil
