Answer:

the chemical fertilizers and pesticides have important role in crop production but recently appeared many problems and caused environmental pollution What do you think about using the chemical fertilizers and pesticides in the future?

Explanation:

The importance of chemical fertilizers in agriculture can not be neglected. However, its extensive and indiscriminate use has created many issues particularly, in the areas where ground water-table is shallow. While, using the chemical fertilizers in shallow water-table areas , one should know about the dynamics of the upward flux from water-table. While, applying, fertilizers, some part of fertilizer remain in the soil column for plant uptake while some move towards ground water in response to the irrigation and rainfall incident; this will increase nutrient concentration in saturated zone (at and below WTD). However, because of capillary rise, this leaching process would be reversed; bringing nutrients back to the root zone. This has both advantage and disadvantage. Advantage is that plants would be able to use maximum fertilizer as returns to the root zone , resultantly produced high yield. The disadvantage is more chances of soil salinity in response to the chemical fertilization. Therefore, under shallow WTDs, for growing a particular crop, reduce the quantity of fertilizer (from recommended dose)

equal to how much is there capillary rise from WTD. In this way, the chances of salinity will be minimum.
