nth term of an AP is given by

a(n) = a + (n – 1) d

where, a = first term, n = no. of term, d = common difference.

Putting n – 4,

a(n – 4) = a + (n – 4 – 1) d = a + (n 5) d

Hope it helps!

Answer:

an=a+(n-1)d

a+(n+5)d

Step-by-step explanation:

The last term (an) of an AP with the first term a and the common difference d is given by an=(n-1)d.

Now, replacing n by (n-4),

we get an-4=a+(n-4-1)d=a+(n-5)d.

Thus the (n-4)th term of an ap is a+(n-5)d.
