According to this type of evidence an organism shows its ancestral adult Stages during its embryornic development. This is known as biogenetic law.

In other words embryos of advanced species pass through stages represented og adult organisms of more primitive species.

According to this we came to know that all organisms have some common ancestry.

Interestingly In 1928, Von Baer disproved the Biogenetic law before invention of it by Haeckel. He observed that embryos never pass through the adult stages of other animals.

Example:- The tadpole larva of amphibians resermbles with fishes. This indicates origin of amphibians from fishes.
