1. Gene recombination:- According to this new combinations of genes which are usually caused by the crossing over during gametogenesis. actually it is the Continuous. Also it is the common source of variation in a sexually reproducing population.

2. Mutation:- It is the Discontinuous source of variations.

3. Hybridization:- It is the process of crossing of organisms this type of genetic variations are genetically different in one or more traits.
