(i)Friction kr force of friction(F) is directly proportional to the normal reaction(R) between the two surfaces in contact.
(ii)Force of friction depends on the nature of the surfaces in contact.
(iii)Force of friction doesn't depend on the area of contact of two surfaces as long as the normal reaction is constant.
(iv)Force of friction always act in a direction opposite to the direction of force applied on the body.
(v)Force of friction always acts tangential to the surface.

⏺️Surface roughness 

⏺️The area of an object which is in contact with the surface. The larger the surface in contact, the greater friction. 

⏺️The texture of the surface and/or the object. The rougher/more uneven the surface/object, the greater the friction. 

⏺️The weight on the surface. The larger the weight, the greater the friction.

⏺️The angle of the surface. The greater the angle of the surface, the greater the friction.
