Fermat's - principle :

When light gets reflected from a surface , it selects a path that takes the least time

Fermat principle is applicable to reflection of light and characteristics of image formed by a plane mirror

Note :-

• Size of image is equal to size of object

• Image is virtual , of same sized and laterally inverted

• Radius of curvature = 2× Focal length

• Magnification is the ratio of object's height and image height or image distance to object distance
