cell discovered by robert hooke in 1665 . he tested the bark of tree and notice some box like honey comb structure and name them cells

Cell was discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665 by his self made microscope.He observed a thin sliceof cork. He observed some tiny compartment like structures. He called them cells ( cells in latin mean a small room).
