Nomads are known as a group of communities who travel from place to place for their livelihood, whereas a tribal is relating to a group or community with similar customs, traditions, and ancestors.

EXPLANATION:

  • During the ancient times in the Indian society followed a very rigid and cruel caste system.
  • There were citizens removed from this structure who decided to live outside these communities. In their own societies these tribes and nomads lived and prospered.
  • They have made a huge contribution to our literature, our culture and our heritage. A nomad is a member of a community of people who move from one place to the next. A tribe is regarded as a social group, developmentally or historically, which exists before or outside states were developed.
  • The most fundamental difference between Tribalism and nomadism is the fact that nomads as we term them, more of them are a portable cultural group that, with its sheep and herds, move from one place to another, more likely to migrate without any solid base.
  • On the other hand, tribalism has its origins in tribes which tend to settle for long periods in one place and establish some kind of connection between their cultural identity and their settlement place, when something unfortunate happens or occurs like plagues, natural disasters, wars or chaos of some sort other than this .
