Subject: The Nuisance of Noise Pollution

Sir:

I am writing this letter to express my anguish and annoyance over the problems caused by loud noise pollution, especially at night. A few days ago there was a marriage in our neighborhood. The noisy marriage celebrations lasted till morning. I had my exam the next day; unfortunately, my grandpa was also sick! Neither he could sleep peacefully, nor could I revise my syllabus much!  

There are thousands of students like me and patients like my grandfather who have to suffer on account of this problem. I on behalf of all the students and general people of the city plead and appeal people and to the concerned authorities to look into the matter and ensure proper peace after 11 p.m. so that we can study and sleep peacefully. I am hopeful you will give enough space to my views in your newspaper. Thanking you.

Respected Sir/Madam,

I live in xxx area of yyy city. The roads are narrow and the houses are really close to each other. There is no proper distribution of street lights and most of the street would be dark. I would like to pen down my concern about the noise pollution created in my area. As the houses are very close to each other, even a low noise or sound can be heard by the neighboring house.

The families here have at least one of them going to school or college. During the time of exam, the noise from the neighborhood is really annoying and they cannot focus. Some of the people here are weavers. The noise due to weaving disturbs the entire area and there is no standard timing for it. Sometimes late during the night. Sometimes early in the morning. It is really causing discomfort to all the people living in the neighborhood.

There is also a school and a hospital in the surrounding.

I kindly request you to publish an article/take necessary action for this discomfort experienced by us.
