Write four difference between physical and chemical weathering
Answers
The two types of weathering are physical and chemical weathering. The main difference between the two is that chemical weathering involves the chemical makeup of the rock actually changing, whereas in physical weathering the rock is broken into smaller pieces but it remains chemically the same.
Hey Friend
1) Physical weathering does not change the chemical composition of the rock whereas chemical weathering changes the composition.
2) Physical weathering may result due to temperature, pressure, snow, etc. whereas chemical weathering mainly takes place due to rain.
3) Physical weathering can occur when the roots of plants grow through the rocks, while in chemical weathering the rain water enters the cracks in the rocks.
4) Some of the leading cause of physical weathering are sun, temperature, wind, ice, while chemical weathering is caused by water mostly.
Hope it helps ☺☺☺
