Speed.

  • Direction is not associated with speed .
  • speed is a scolar quantity.
  • It is always positive.
  • Its value cannot be zero for amoving object

Velocity

  • Direction is associated with velocity.
  • Velocity is a vector quantity.
  • It can be positive or negative
  • Its value is zero if initial and final position of the object is same.
