Semipermeable membrane
- It permits entry of only one solvent.
- It doesn't exist within the biological word e.g. cellphane, collodion.
Selectively permeable membrane
- It permits entry of both solvents and to a selected extent solutes.
- Almost all biological membranes are selectively permeable
