rational numbers- those number which can be written in the form p/q where p and q are integers and a is not equal to zero.

so,the four rational numbers greater than- 31 but less than 4 are following: -

Four rational numbers which are greater than -31 and less than 4, are -26, -21, -11, and -1.

Given,

Two rational numbers -31 and 4.

To Find,

Four rational numbers which are greater than - 31 and less than 4.

Solution,

The method of finding four rational numbers which are greater than - 31 and less than 4 is as follows -

The difference between -31 and 4 is 4-(-31)=4+31=35.

So if we add a number to -31, which is greater than 0 and less than 35, the resulting number will be greater than - 31 and less than 4.

So four numbers which are greater than 0 and less than 35, are 5, 10, 20, and 30.

If 5, 10, 20, and 30 are added to -31, the resulting numbers will be -31+5=-26, -31+10=-21,-31+20=-11 and-31+30=-1.

Hence, four rational numbers which are greater than -31 and less than 4, are -26, -21, -11, and -1.
