The topography of Brazil is such that origins of its river are from Andes mountain hilly area located in Western side. In the eastern part has the Atlantic Ocean.

There are 7 major rivers in Brazil and 5 minor river basins. All these rivers and river basins mostly are located in the hilly Areas of the west.

Due to the slope and natural contour, the rivers flow towards the eastern side. They arise from the Andes mountains on the western side of South America and flow towards the east to meet the Atlantic Ocean.

Therefore, all the rivers in Brazil flow only towards the east into the Atlantic Ocean.
