Gibbs Free energy or Gibbs Energy is the maximum energy available in the form of useful work  that the system can do.  This is in a closed system, ie., volume change is 0.

       G (p, T )    =  U  + p V  - T S
               U = Internal Energy
                p  = Pressure
               V = volume
               T = temperature
               S = Entropy of the system
