Iron(Grey colour) + Copper sulphate (blue) ---› Iron sulphate (green) + Copper (reddish brown)

Fe + CuSO4 ---› FeSO4 + Cu

OBSERVATION

When Iron is placed in copper sulphate solution at that time iron displaces copper from it's solution and become Iron sulphate and leave copper.
This reaction happens because Iron is more reactive than copper so it displaces copper from it's solution.
