It has been a month since Janata Curfew, today. I sincerely hope this message finds all of you, staff, students, parents, alumni and partners, in good health and at home in these trying times. I’m truly impressed how we have all quickly adapted to the situation so that academic operations do not get compromised. The only way to overcome this pandemic is to work together and take a unified stand and to that end, I appreciate each one of you for fighting COVID-19 by taking all precautions and staying safe at home.
GITAM'S CONTRIBUTION
GITAM has contributed Rs. 1 Crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of AP (Rs 50 Lakhs), Karnataka (Rs 25 Lakhs) and Telangana (Rs 25 Lakhs) to support the state governments in their fight against the pandemic. Close to half of this amount was raised by employee donations and the rest was matched by GITAM’s funds. A sincere thank you to all the staff for their contribution and to many of them who offered to us before any decision was taken.
