Hey mate!

Flat worms belong to the phylum Platyhelminths (Aceolomates, triploblastic, bilaterally symmetrical). They are dorso-ventrally flattened, mostly parasitic, having hooks for the sake of adhering themselves to the host. They also do not have well developed systems. They simply absorb nutrients and gases through their skin. They have special cells called flame cells for excretion. Planaria is a flatworm with high regenerating capacity. Fertilisation is internal. Life cycle is complex involving many hosts.

Round worms are aschelminths that have a pseudoceolom. They are called round worms because their transverse section is round. They are the first to show dioecious condition. Female worms are long with a curved tail. Male worms are straight and short. They also have a complete digestive system with a muscular pharynx and an excretory pore. Fertilisation is internal.
