they are based on the principal of electro magnet
it stands for magnetic leviation Train and does not need wheels .it floats above its track by strong magnetic forces

In some advanced countries like japan, powerful electromagnets are used to run trains at very high speed. These trains are called maglve (magnetic levitation) trains..
