Electric torch is an electronic device which is used to artificially produce light .

The working procedure of an electric torch is :

1) When we click the "ON" switch of the torch then the electricity flows from the battery chamber to the terminals of the bulb which is connected with that torch.

2) When the bulb gets enough amount of electricity ,the filament or the diode part of that bulb ,starts glowing and produces light.

In this way electricity is converted into light energy in the electric torches.
