In Italy, Benito Mussolini used his charisma to establish a powerful fascist state. Benito Mussolini coined the term “fascism” in 1919 to describe his political movement. He adopted the ancient Roman fasces as his symbol. This was a bundle of rods tied around an ax, which represented the power of Rome.

Rise of fascism in Italy was due to Mussolini. The discontentment after the treaty of Versailles made Italy not even get the parts which it wanted rather it got few parts of southern Tyrol.

N also due to economic crisis in war many soldiers were injured dead and many were unemployed n also this gave a threat of communism

Political instability Italy for the first time introduced democracy but it failed it had made 6 coalition parties.

Failure of League of Nations,in 1920 this was established to maintain peace but could not keep up its duties.
