• The rise of Rajputs was the result of Harshavardhana 's death and the disintegration of the Pratihara kingdom. The Indian political scene was dominated by the Rajputs for almost 500 years from the 7th century. They are part of the "Indian subcontinent's" patrilineal clans.
• They ruled over Saurashtra, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh,  Jammu, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, & Madhya Pradesh  as warriors, zamindar (land owners), & entrepreneurs, .
