In the molicular cloning workflow, the DNA to be cloned is identified and treated with enzymes to generate DNA fragments. These fragments are then combined with vector DNA to generate recombinant DNA molicule. Bacterial expression and ligase-independent cloning kits, enzymes, and DNA vectors you need for efficient molecular cloning.

The two vectors used in gene cloning are the plasmids and phages.

  • The size of a plasmid are generally 4361 bp
  • The cloning limit of a plasmid is 0.1-10kb.
  • ampicillin and the tetracycline resistant gene are the marker genes which remains isolated from the E-coli.

  • The size of a bacteriophage is 48502 bp but one third of this part  is not at all essential
  • These are the ones those who infects bacteria.
  • It is formed by nucleic acid molecule.
