Disorders of digestive system

  1. Jaundice : It is caused by presence of excessive bilirubin in blood and it's deposition in skin, mucous membrane and sclera.
  2. Vomiting : It is the forcible expulsion of the contents of stomach through the mouth.
  3. Diarrhoea : It is the excessive frequency and liquidity of faecal discharges.
  4. Constipation : It is the infrequent irregular passage of dry hardened faeces.
  5. Indigestion : It is caused by intolerance to an ingredient of food, defect in stomach [ e.g., hyperchlorhydria ] or intestine [ inadequate enzyme secretion ], food poisoning, overeating and consumption of spicy food.
