(2a + b + 8c) {}^{2} \\ = (2a) {}^{2} + (b) {}^{2} + (8c) {}^{2} + 2(2ab + 8bc +16ca) \\ = 4a {}^{2} + b {}^{2} + 64c {}^{2} + 4ab + 16bc + 32ca

Using the identity:-

(a+b+c)²= a²+b²+c²+2ab+2bc+2ca

Answer:

(4a² + b² + 64c² + 4ab + 32ac +  16bc)

Step-by-step explanation:

(2a+b+8c)² = (2a+b+8c) x (2a+b+8c)

Using the identity...: (a + b + c)²  = a²  + b²  + c²  + 2ab + 2bc + 2ca

= (4a² + 2ab + 16ac + 2ab + b² + 8bc + 16ac + 8bc + 64c²)

= (4a² + b² + 64c² + 4ab + 32ac +  16bc)
