2. Canning: Storing food in cans cuts down their contact with air thus the process of oxidation doesn't take place.
3. Pickling: Pickling basically lowers down the pH level of the food, thus, preventing the growth of bacteria.
Some other ways include: Drying, freezing, fermentation, pasteurization...
