The IUPAC name of the compound is But-1,3-diene.

  • Numbering the given compound from most prior carbon atoms means the atom that is attached to a double bond we get four atoms long chain.
  • As this compound contains four carbon atoms so will come.
  • Again it contains two double bonds at C-1 and C-3.
  • For double bond "ene" will come.
  • Hence the IUPAC name of the compound is But-1,3-diene.
