All Carbons in the compound are saturated, thus it is an Alkane, the suffix is −ane. The compound has 5C in the longest chain (Prefix is Pent) with 2 substitutes a methyl group bonded with C2 and an ethyl group bonded to the C−3 . Hence it is named 3−Ethyl−2−methylpentane.
