Dear Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the concerned authorities towards the bad condition of roads in our locality. The condition of roads is deplorable with countless potholes making the purpose of the road, a failure. Moreover, things get even worse during the rainy season when potholes are not visible due to the poor drainage system and the area becomes heavily accident prone. The residents are facing a lot of inconvenience due to the road condition.
On behalf of the residents of Mayur Vihar, I humbly request you to pass on this information to the concerned authorities and use the influence of your esteemed organization in getting the work done.
I hope that you consider the request of the residents of this area and take proper action.
Yours faithfully,
Priya Awasthi

Respected Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to bring to the notice of competent authorities the terrible state of the roads and drains in Darya Ganj.
The roads in our area have not been fixed for the past three years. Accidents caused by pitfalls and breakage happen every day. The repair work done by government agencies is substandard and only lasts a few months.
Many of the roads are not even paved. They are hardly ever swept. Roads are littered with tonnes of trash that has been there for days. The problem is even worse during the monsoons when waste gets lodged in the drains and clogs them. Due to the deteriorated roads and clogged drains, water builds up in the streets, obstructing all traffic and causing numerous injuries and accidents. There is a bad odor coming from the drains. They are never flushed with phenyl and cleansed. As a result, there is a chance that an epidemic may spread quickly. Residents in the region have made many requests to the authorities, but no actual action has been taken.
So, through this letter, I request the concerned authorities to take immediate action to repair the state of the roads and drains, so that no one else encounters any problems when traveling on them in the future. Please take the necessary action as soon as you can.
Thanking you!
Yours truly
Amit
