The constitution of India has provided the India has a federal .It states that India is  a union of states.It has given two forms of government central and state government .The great book has differentiated the powers and economic autonomy of the both government.

   Therefore, the constitution has three main list they are,

1:Union List

2;State list

3:Concurrent list

Union list:-.....

This list contains the subjects which are important foe the entire country.They have been added in  the list because the country should have a uniform policy.The subjects in this list include , Defense, Currency , Foreign matters .The central government is only allowed to make laws on the subjects mentioned on it.

State list:-..

This list contains subjects which have local importance. The state government is only allowed to make laws on it.These subject include, Police, communications, agriculture, animal husbandry etc.

Concurrent list;-...

This list has subjects which are wanted for both the state and the central government.The both governments are allowed to make the laws on it , but if their laws conflict with each other , the law made by the central government will prevail. education, forest, trade unions, marriage, adoption and succession
