Answer:

Multiplicative identity

  • an identity element, or neutral element, is a special type of element of a set with respect to a binary operation on that set

  • which leaves any element of the set unchanged when combined with it.

  • This concept is used in algebraic structures such as groups and rings

Example:-

1/2 *x = 1

x = 1 * 2

x. = 2

additive identity:-

  • the additive identity of a set that is equipped with the operation of addition is an element which

  • when added to any element x in the set, yields x.

Example:-

5 + x = 0

x = 0 - 5

x. = -5
