Cell organelles that are not bounded by membrane:

The names of cell organelles that are not enveloped by membrane are as follows,

  • Ribosomes
  • Centrosomes
  • Centrioles
  • Basal Bodies
  • Microtubules
  • Microfilaments

The organelles present in the cell are classified as membrane enveloped cell organelles and non-membrane enveloped cell organelles. The former has a protective covering whereas the latter doesn’t have a protective covering. The non-membrane enveloped organelles are seen freely floating in the cytoplasm of the cell and are function specific.
