Indian peninsula is surrounded by Arabian sea on the west, Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian ocean on the south. It is surrounded on three sides by water, thus meeting the definition of a peninsula. There is also a state called Yucatan, which is one of three Mexican states on the peninsula of the same name.
