"A monitor is an output device used to display the output due to the inputs given by the user. With the passing of time, the variety and quality of monitors has increased drastically. Nowadays, monitors can be seen in various shapes and sizes. But the few main types of monitors are

♦ CRT Display Monitors:

These are the box shaped monitors which use a Cathode Ray Tube display and are connected using a VGA cord. These are discontinued and are not used nowadays.

♦ LCD Display Monitors:

These are the flat screen monitors which employ Liquid Crystal Display and support both VGA and HDMI connectivity depending upon the model. The only drawback of these monitors is that these do not have support for a wide viewing angle.

♦ LED Display Monitors:

These are the flat screen monitors which employ LED displays and support both VGA and HDMI connectivity depending upon the model. These have a great viewing angle and are the most popular choice of consumers nowadays."
