Answer:

Environmental impacts of mining can occur at local, regional, and global scales through direct and indirect mining practices. Impacts can result in erosion, sinkholes, loss of biodiversity, or the contamination of soil, groundwater, and surface water by the chemicals emitted from mining processes.

Acid Rain can easily be defined as rain, fog, sleet or snow that has been made acidic by contaminants present in the air as a result of fossil fuel and industrial combustions that mostly emits Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Sulphur Dioxide (SO2).

The greenhouse effect occurs when certain gases in the Earth's atmosphere (the air around the Earth) trap infrared radiation. This makes the planet become warmer, similar to the way it makes a greenhouse become warmer. The greenhouse effect is natural. It is important for life on Earth.

The loss of biodiversity has always been a nature’s part of evolution. The fossil records show that since life originated on earth, about four million years ago, the vast majority of species which existed are now extinct. The first ever assault on biodiversity dates back to the inception of human society.
