Raksha Bandhan is a famous festival of Hindus. it is also known by the name of Rakhi. Raksha Bandhan falls in Shravan maas also known as the Sawan month. It is celebrated on the last day of the Shravan mass which mostly falls in the month of August. The entire month of Sawan is considered to be auspicious as per the Hindu religion. The festival is celebrated with great zeal in various parts of the country. It is known to strengthen the brother-sister bond. It is celebrated by brothers and sisters of all age. On this day, the sisters tie a sacred thread on their brothers’ wrist wishing good health and fortune for their brothers. The brothers, on the other hand, bless their sisters and promise to take care of them. It is being celebrated with immense enthusiasm since the ancient times.

siblings are like friends, but they are permanent. Usually brothers and sisters have a love-hate relationship. I believe that even though brothers and/or sisters constantly argue, there is a bond of leadership, love and friendship.Leadership is portrayed in each brother sister relationship.

Most brother sister relationships have love. Even through all the constant rivalry, arguing and competition. You know you cannot live without them. I constantly argue with my brother, but when someone else picks on him or starts arguing with him I always stand up for him.
