The Peninsular India comprises the diverse topological and climatic patterns of South India. The Peninsula is in shape of a vast inverted triangle, bounded on the west by the Arabian Sea, on the east by the Bay of Bengal and on the north by the Vindhya and Satpura ranges.

1. A peninsula is a piece of land which is surrounded by water on three sides.
2.Indian peninsula is surrounded by Arabian sea on the west, Bay of Bengal on the east and Indian ocean on the south.
3. The peninsular land is formed by the Eastern ghats, Western ghats, Deccan plateau, Satpura and Vindhya Ranges.
4. The Peninsula is in shape of a vast inverted triangle.

10.The Deccan plateau is drained by the rivers Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri. The north-west part of the Deccan plateau is made up igneous rocks.
