OBJECTIVE OF WHO
WHO 's objective is the attainment of the highest possible level of health by all people Health is defined in WHO's constitution as a state of complete
well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.


FUNCTION OF WHO
1. it organises conference , seminars and trainings for health care personnel from different countries.

2. it defines standards for the strength and purity of medicines including biological products.
3. it makes special efforts in combating diarrhoeal diseases which are known as killers of infants and young children.

4. it publishes health journals like the " Bulletin of the world health organisation " to create health consciousness among people.


OBJECTIVE OF UNICEF

the main objective of UNICEF is to look after children's welfare especially in developing countries by people with low cost community- based services in maternal and child - health, nutrition and immunisation , etc.

FUNCTION OF UNICEF

1. it assists government to plan, develop and extend community-based services in the fields of maternal and child health, nutrition, clean water and sanitation.


2.. it provides help to children's and mothers in emergencies arising from natural calamaties, civil strife and epidemics.

3.. it makes efforts to prevent diseases like tuberculosis ( T.B.), malaria, eye disease., skin diseases, etc.
