Current flowing in a circuit is directly propotional to the applied potential difference.
Hence,
V propotional to I
So,
V=IR (where R is constant)
=> R=V/I
where The SI unit of Resistance is Ohm (Ω)
Note: Ohm is itself the SI unit of Resistance :)
