TO PROVE THAT SOUND NEEDS A MEDIUM FOR PROPOGATION .

MATERIALS REQUIRED

ELECTROMAGNETIC BELL , VACCUM PUMP , GLASS JAR .

PROCEDURE

 1 ) ON THE ELECTROMAGNETIC BELL .

 2 ) MAKE SURE IT IS IN AN HORIZANTAL PLANE .

 3 ) COVER IT WITH A GLASS JAR .

 4 ) WITH THE HELP OF A VACCUM PUMP , SUCK OUT THE AIR COVERING THE ELECTROMAGNETIC BELL INSIDE THE JAR

OBSERVETION

AS SLOWLY THE AIR IS SUCKED OUT , THE SOUND OF THE BELL DECREASES . AT ONE POINT OF TIME , WHEN THE AIR IS FULLY SUCKED OUT , WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO HEAR THE SOUND .
