Write one difference between Direct Speech & Indirect Speech. Give one example also.

Direct Speech - The exact words of the speaker.

Example - Ben said, "I am going to market".

Indirect Speech - The words of the speaker are reported.

Example - Ben said that, he was going to market.

Direct Speech is the spoken words of the speaker whereas, Indirect Speech is the repeated words of the speaker.
