Answer: Preparation of alkene and alkyne from halo alkane compound through elimination method :-

For alkene:-

" 1-Bromo ethane" reacting with alcoholic KOH to give "eth-1-ene"!!!

For alkyne :-

"1-bromo ethene" reacts with alcoholic KOH to give "eth-1-yne"!

Here the by-products are HCl and H2O!!
