In sexual reproduction, gamete formation takes place followed by fertilisation ,i.e, fusion of gametes
The progeny formed has traits of both the parents and is varient.
While in asexual mode,no gametes are formed hence no fertilisation occurs.
In this, clone formation takes place, which is exact copy of parent.
Hence no variation, and less chances for survival in all conditions.
